Incard Order Cards Flow

Order Cards – Design Overview

This user flow represents the Order Cards process for the InCard app, detailing how users can create and configure both Company and Employee cards within the app.

Key Components of the Order Cards Flow:

Card Type Selection:

The flow begins with the user selecting the type of card they want to order, with two distinct options:

  • Company Cards: Virtual cards that can be used by multiple users within the organisation.
  • Employee Cards: Available as either virtual or physical cards, these are intended for individual use.

Card Configuration:

Once the card type is selected, the user configures the card’s settings, which includes:

  • Setting a nickname for the card to identify its purpose.
  • Specifying card limits, such as monthly or weekly transaction limits.
  • Adding additional time periods if necessary.

Selecting Contacts:

  • The user assigns responsibility for the card by selecting a cardholder. For Company Cards, the user can assign multiple cardholders based on their role. This ensures that the appropriate team members can use the card for shared business expenses.
  • For Employee Cards, a single cardholder is assigned, reflecting personal responsibility for the card’s usage.

Card Colour Selection (for Virtual Cards):

For virtual cards, users can select a card color from a variety of options, allowing for some level of personalisation. This enhances the visual experience and allows users to differentiate between multiple virtual cards.

Review and Confirmation:

After configuration, users are presented with a review screen that summarises all card details, including:

  • Card type (Company or Employee)
  • Card limits and time periods
  • Assigned cardholders
  • Fees or additional costs (if applicable)

The user confirms the information, and the card is created.

Card Creation Confirmation:

A success screen confirms that the card has been created and is ready for use. For virtual cards, users can immediately start using the card online. For physical cards, additional delivery options may be selected based on shipping preferences (basic or fast delivery).

Error Handling:

The flow includes a user-friendly error screen in case something goes wrong during the card creation process, providing users with an option to retry and complete the process.

Considerations in the Flow:

  • Multiple User Access: The flow supports various access levels, allowing administrators to assign multiple users to a Company Card for shared expenses while maintaining control over configuration.
  • Personalisation: Users can personalise virtual cards by choosing different colours, making it easy to distinguish between cards in their wallet.
  • Subscription Upgrades: Users can upgrade their subscription tier to unlock additional card features, such as metal cards, ensuring that premium features are available for those on higher subscription plans.
  • Scalability: This flow was designed to handle the complexity of managing multiple cards across various user roles, subscription plans, and organisations.

This user flow represents a streamlined, efficient approach to card creation within the InCard app, providing users with both flexibility and control over their card usage and configuration.
